01Our philosophy

We do not view you through the lens of an illness.

Therapy is not only about treating a diagnosis. It is about self-care, personal growth, and deciding that your own wellbeing is worth prioritizing, which for a great many of our clients is the genuinely hard part.

We are committed to helping you uncover the strengths and resources already in you, so you can solve problems, navigate what life puts in front of you, and get somewhere closer to your full potential. You are not a case. You are a capable person who has run into something that your existing strategies cannot solve.

Together we will assess what is already working in your life, what fits, and what may no longer serve you. From there the work is practical: identifying your strengths, improving emotional regulation and communication, and developing strategies you can actually use.

“Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations.”

02What we hold to

We treat people, not diagnoses

A diagnosis is sometimes useful shorthand and it is never the whole story. We are interested in the pattern underneath: what keeps it running, what it is protecting, and what would have to change for it to stop.

Specialists, matched deliberately

Each of our six clinicians has trained deeply in something specific. That is why we ask what is going on before booking you: the match should be based on your situation, not on who has the next open slot.

Effective as well as supportive

Being heard matters enormously and it is not sufficient on its own. Our sessions are goal-oriented. You should leave with something you did not walk in with.

Honest about fit

The therapeutic relationship is the strongest predictor of outcome in the research. If we are not right for you, we will say so and help you find somewhere that is, including outside our practice.

03Our founder

Ashleigh Bryan, MS, LMFT, PMH-C

Ashleigh has practiced since 2008, first as an intensive in-home family therapist, then in medical settings, then in private practice. She holds a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from East Carolina University and is licensed as an LMFT in North Carolina (#1280).

Her clinical centre of gravity is relationships and the perinatal period. She holds both the Externship and Core Skills training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, and she is Perinatal Mental Health Certified through Postpartum Support International, the recognized specialty credential for working with perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.

She built this practice on a systems view: that none of us exists in a vacuum, that our relationships and environments shape what we are struggling with, and that everyone has an innate capacity for growth that therapy exists to unlock.
