No Surprises Act
Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate
Last updated September 2026
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your care will cost. Under federal law, health care providers must give patients who do not have insurance, or who are not using insurance, an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
What this covers
- An estimate of the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services
- Related costs such as tests, equipment and facility fees, where applicable
- A written estimate provided at least one business day before your appointment
Our published rates
- Initial intake session: $185
- Individual therapy: $155 per session
- Couples and family therapy: $170 per session
Because the length of therapy depends on your goals and progress, your Good Faith Estimate will project a reasonable number of sessions and will be updated if that projection changes materially.
If your bill is higher than the estimate
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute it. Keep a copy or photograph of your estimate.
