Meet Angie, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate

At Charlotte Therapy Associates, we believe that everyone deserves a space where they can explore their challenges, find healing, and build stronger, more fulfilling relationships. Angie, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate, is dedicated to guiding individuals, couples, and families toward emotional well-being and relational growth.

Angie holds a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northcentral University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English with a Creative Writing Concentration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Her academic background in creative writing even led her to author a children’s book that focuses on blended families — a subject that is close to her heart and reflects her passion for helping families navigate complex dynamics.

With years of clinical training and experience, Angie specializes in working with those facing anxiety, depression, marital issues, grief, betrayal, trauma, and other life challenges. She recognizes that each person’s journey is unique and works collaboratively with clients to address their specific needs and goals. Her approach is grounded in empathy, understanding, and respect, providing a safe and nurturing space where clients can begin to heal, grow, and transform.

Angie’s Therapeutic Approach: Empowerment and Growth

Angie’s therapeutic philosophy is centered on systems work, which recognizes the interconnectedness of our thoughts, behaviors, emotions, and relationships. She believes that change is possible when we address the root causes of our challenges, and that strength-based therapy can unlock the resilience within each person.

In her practice, Angie integrates a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

  • Narrative Therapy

By drawing from these modalities, Angie tailors her approach to meet the unique needs of each client, whether they are an individual seeking personal growth or a family navigating complex relational issues.
