Katie Stenmark, MA, LMFTA

Katie Stenmark is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate who is dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families who are currently struggling make the necessary changes towards a more fulfilling life. She has experience working with clients in the private outpatient setting as well as providing short-term mental health support to clients in crisis. Additionally, her background in education lends itself to viewing client’s problems from a different angle.
Katie enjoys empowering her clients to realize they are capable of making changes by working collaboratively on problem-solving and developing goals that are attainable and permanent. She uses a relational perspective and adopts a non-judgmental stance to understand and address the needs of the individual, couple, or family. Utilizing a family systems lens allows for greater insight into the past and benefits clients in acquiring more self-awareness to aid in creating a future with improved functioning, better relationships, and lasting change. Through curiosity, empathy, and experiential interventions, she aims to identify and break the negative repetitive cycles so you can get unstuck and move forward.
